The deluxe king room features high ceilings and a comfy super king four-poster bed, creating a luxurious feel. The large bathroom even includes a jacuzzi, perfect for some post-adventure relaxation.
The shower's open design led to an unwelcome visit from cockroaches at night, which wasn't ideal. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the sofa left much to be desired, as it was dusty and covered in hair upon arrival. the breakfast options were limited, featuring only two set choices that didn't cater to all preferences.

Ellen's Place felt like a hidden gem in Colombo. The rooms were spacious and charming, with ample natural light that created a warm ambiance. The roof terrace was a lovely spot to unwind, and the swimming pool offered a refreshing break from the heat. Staff members, especially Sudharshan, went above and beyond to assist with our inquiries. we encountered a few issues. The sofa in our room was unclean upon arrival, covered in hair. on one occasion, our room wasn't cleaned despite pressing the designated button. Addressing these maintenance issues would elevate the experience tremendously.

Ellen's Place is a hidden gem! The spacious suite felt luxurious, with a lovely courtyard and a refreshing plunge pool. Staff were super accommodating, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Just a couple of cleanliness issues, but overall, we had a fantastic experience!

ellen's place has a lovely tropical courtyard with fragrant Araliya trees and a charming swimming pool. the staff really go above and beyond to provide personal yet professional service. we especially loved the sri lankan breakfast and the convenience of being close to the dining area below our room.
